Homewood Postdoc Association (HW-PDA)

The Homewood Postdoctoral Association (HW-PDA) was formed in 2007 to promote and advocate on behalf of the thriving community of postdoctoral scholars at Johns Hopkins University. Our members include over 200 postdocs across all disciplines from the Whiting School of Engineering and the Zanvyl Krieger School of Arts & Sciences; we strive to engage with all of them. HW-PDA was conceived to foster a sense of community, to provide academic and social support, and to offer opportunities and resources for career development. The association strives to keep members informed via a regularly updated email list, this website, and numerous social and professional development events. You may also be interested in joining our Facebook group or our Instagram page!

HW-PDA strives to keep a finger on the pulse of postdoc life a Homewood campus. If you are a member of our community experiencing difficulty in your academic pursuits or in your personal life here in Baltimore, please send us an email. We may not always be able to help, but we will do our best to point you in the direction of someone who can!

Please note, HW-PDA is not the only postdoc association at Johns Hopkins. Postdocs in the School of Medicine are always welcome as members of our community. Check out our sister association, the JHPDA at JHMI!
